WHAT:
The Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC), a division of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PCVB), celebrates its 15th Annual Recognition Luncheon entitled, “Celebrating Philadelphia’s Tapestry of Leaders”, by honoring industry and community leaders for their accomplishments in support of MAC’s mission. This sold-out, annual luncheon is the largest and only gathering of diverse hospitality professionals in the city that are dedicated to increasing Philadelphia's recognition as a top multicultural tourism and convention city.

“This year’s theme, “Celebrating Philadelphia’s Tapestry of Leaders”, showcases our strength as a multicultural destination, furthering our efforts to increase the City’s ability to attract and retain multicultural meetings and conventions,” states Tanya E. Hall, executive director of the MAC.“It is with great enthusiasm that our 15th Annual Recognition Luncheon coincides with our 2009 banner year of hosting more than twenty-five thousand attendees at the nationally recognized Global Fusion Festival.”
“It is important for us to recognize and celebrate the thriving corporate, private and community relationships of MAC,” states Tom Muldoon, president of the PCVB. “MAC’s influential awardees advocate the shared desire for Philadelphia to remain a top multicultural city.”
