A City in the Center of It All

Philadelphia sits in the heart of the Northeast Corridor and is within a day's drive of  40% of the country’s population. By train or car, Philadelphia is less than two hours from New York City and less than three hours from Washington, D.C.

Getting here is a breeze! At Philadelphia International Airport, 28 airlines (3 of which are low-fare carriers) operate nearly 600 daily nonstop flights from 120 cities, including 60 daily and seasonal flights from 36 international destinations. (View the Airport Terminal Map.) The short trek into Center City from the airport takes 20 Minutes on the Regional Rail Line. Flat-rate fare cabs and buses also make travel to and from the airport a quick and easy hop.

Whether by plane, train or car, chances are Philadelphia is closer than you think.

All About Town

The only thing easier than getting to Philadelphia is getting around once you're here. In Philadelphia, everything is just around the corner, but miles from ordinary.

Hop aboard SEPTA, which provides an extensive network of buses, subways, trolleys, and regional rail lines allowing you to navigate not only Center City, but the surrounding region.

SEPTA’s Phlash is a seasonal bus route designed to be a quick and easy connection between Center City attractions and most downtown hotels. Service is approximately every 12 minutes. It is one of the best ways to get around to 25 key locations in Center City and is just $2 each time you board or just $5 for an all-day individual pass and $10 for an all-day family pass. So hop-on and hop-off the purple bus to see Philadelphia in a Phlash!

Renting a car? There are more than 13,000 parking spaces in Center City. And if you need to get somewhere fast, Philadelphia has more than 1,600 licensed and trained cabs.
