PCVB Hosts Convention Trade Journalists for first tour of Expansion and New Hotels
The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PCVB) and the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority (PCCA) hosted four writers and editors from leading convention trade publications for a "Philadelphia Developments Press Fam" in September.
Over the course of two days, the journalists from One +, Convene, Black Meetings & Tourism, and Meetings Media learned about the latest developments in Philadelphia. They toured Kimpton's new Hotel Palomar Philadelphia; Le Meridien Philadelphia, opening in 2010; and the new Assembly on Five Conference Center at the Doubletree Hotel Philadelphia, where they stayed.
Touring expansion were: Jack Ferguson, executive vice president, PCVB; Edith Billups, Black Meetings & Tourism; Marlene Goldman, Meetings Media; Chris Durso, Convene; Ahmeenah Young, president & CEO, PCCA; and David Basler, One +.
