Expanding the Future
With the expansion construction site bustling, new hotel rooms being added, and the City blossoming into a cultural mecca, Philadelphia is primed to become the premier meeting and convention destination in the U.S. as expansion of the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PCC) opens in March 2011. The expanded convention center will feature:
- More then 1 million square feet of saleable space
- 528,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space
- A new 55,400-square-foot ballroom — the largest on the East Coast
- The ability to host larger tradeshows or two major conventions simultaneously
- Additional multi-story, floor-to-ceiling glass entrance on North Broad Street
- 79 total meeting rooms
