There are plenty of ways to tour our great city and there is so much to see! If you need help picking out some highlights, here are some great “ride and tour” operators that offer fun and exciting adventures around Philadelphia, and make sure you don’t miss any crucial sights during your visit! Big Bus Company

Experience the history and beauty of Philadelphia from the top of an authentic double-decker bus! Enjoy some spectacular views of the city and get some fresh air and sun while fully trained guides entertain you with facts and fun stories about Philadelphia. Big Bus tours depart frequently from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (April through October) and between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from November to March. The tours last approximately 90 minutes and include 20 stops. Passengers are welcome to hop on and off the busses at any of the stops. Tickets cost $27 for adults, $10 for children (4 -12 years old), $25 for seniors, and are valid for 24 hours. Tours depart from the northeast corner of 5th and Market sts.

Trolley Works
Step aboard a signature burgundy and green Victorian-style "open-air" trolley for a fantastic tour of the city. Knowledgeable guides will enlighten and entertain you with humorous stories and fascinating facts about Philadelphia’s famous sights and attractions. Tickets can be purchased online, on the trolley, or at the Independence Visitor Center. From April – November, tours depart daily from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. weekdays, 6:00 p.m. weekends. From December – March, tours depart daily from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  There are 24-hour passes (Adults $27.00, Seniors $25.00, and Children $10.00) and 48-hour passes (Adults $43.00, Seniors $40.00, and Children $18.00) available.

Sit back, relax and experience Philadelphia’s history and other popular Philadelphia attractions upon a stylish horse-drawn carriage. Journey back in time on a ride through the tree-lined streets of Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park, Society Hill and Old City. Rides depart from the carriage stand at 5th and Chestnut sts. across from Independence Hall. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday: 9:30 am – 6:30 pm. There is a Short Tour (15-20 minutes, $30 for up to 4 people, $7 for each additional person), Medium Tour (30-35 minutes, $40 for up to 4 people, $10 for each additional person), and a Deluxe Tour (1 hour, $80, $20 for each additional person).  Tickets can be purchased online, at the carriage stand at 5th & Chestnut sts. or at the Independence Visitor Center.
