VolunZOOism
America’s first zoo offering voluntourism projects for your student groups.

Help beautify the first zoo in the nation while learning how the Philadelphia Zoo supports conservation projects around the world. Groups (ages 14 and over) will have the opportunity to work in the 42-acre Victorian garden, helping to restore the Zoo’s natural splendor.
Both first-time and experienced gardeners will assist in nurturing the greens throughout the grounds while learning about the Philadelphia Zoo Footprints program, the zoo’s mission to protect, preserve, sustain, and conserve the environment. Your group can also explore wildlife protection, your own carbon footprints and ways to personally make a difference in the conservation of wildlife and natural resources.
